Marc Anthony y Jennifer Lopez - Escapemonos
Marc Anthony, nacido como Marco Antonio Muñiz el 16 de septiembre de 1969 en
Manhattan, Nueva York (Estados Unidos), es un cantante y compositor
estadounidense de ascendencia puertorriqueña de música salsa y más
recientemente también de baladas románticas, pop y hasta tango. Dio el salto
internacional gracias a Paul Simon, al que considera su maestro y mentor, quien
lo eligió entre miles de candidatos para ser el protagonista de su obra "The
Capeman".
Su verdadero nombre fue elegido por sus padres, Felipe
Muñiz y Guillermina, por el cantante mexicano del mismo nombre, aunque hubo de
cambiárselo para que no se les confundiera profesionalmente.
En su
vida privada ha habido muchos sucesos, todos fruto de la pasión que destila en
sus canciones: tras una relación con Debbie Rosado (una policía neoyorquina)
nació su hija Arianna, un elemento fundamental en la vida de Marc y a la que le
compuso una canción, My Baby You.
Después se casó con la Miss
Universo 1993 Dayanara Torres, con la que tuvo dos hijos: Ryan y Cristian (este
segundo recibe su nombre en honor a la admiración que su padre profesa por el
cantante mexicano Cristian Castro). Entre el nacimiento de ambos hijos hubo
crisis, llegándose a separar y casándose de nuevo. En octubre del 2003
terminaron la relación definitivamente cuando salieron falsos rumores de que
Marc había tenido un hijo fuera del matrimonio con una fan, pero tras tres
exámenes de ADN se comprobó que la chica mentía.
En febrero del
2004, su amiga la cantante estadounidense Jennifer López le pidió su ayuda
para producir la canción Sway para la banda sonora de la película Shall We
Dance?, y en el estudio de grabación y con la convivencia, la amistad se
convirtió en amor y el 5 de junio de 2004 se casaron en la lujosa mansión que
tiene Jennifer en Miami, confirmando así los rumores que los relacionaban
sentimentalmente. Marc Anthony confesó que siempre ha estado enamorado de
Jennifer y que ella es la misteriosa Lola a quien dedicaba varios de sus discos
y canciones.
En enero del 2006 Jennifer López inició la
filmación de la película "El cantante" basada en la vida del polémico
cantante puertorriqueño Héctor Lavoe, para lo cual le pidió a su esposo que
él interpretara a Héctor y ella interpretaría a "Puchi" la esposa de Lavoe,
además de que fue la productora del film.
En el 2007 Marc Anthony
debutó como productor de otro artista, participando activamente en la
composición, producción y coros del primer disco en español de su esposa
Jennifer López llamado "Como ama una mujer", que debutó Nº1 en ventas de la
prestigiosa revista Billboard. Además, ese mismo año Marc lanzó su nuevo
disco "El cantante" que era la banda sonora de la película del mismo nombre
protagonizada por él; este disco se convirtió en un éxito de ventas debutando
también en el Nº1 de Billboard. Ambos salieron juntos de gira por Estados
Unidos en los meses de septiembre, octubre y noviembre, teniendo un éxito
inusitado y al final del último concierto de la gira, que fue ofrecido en la
ciudad de Miami, Jennifer anunció al público que estaba embarazada y Marc
besó su vientre ante la emoción de los miles de fans presentes.
El 22 de febrero de 2008 Jennifer dio a luz a gemelos. La niña, Emme
(diminutivo de Emelina), vino al mundo a las 6.12 de la madrugada (hora
española) y pesó casi 2,5 kilos. El niño, Maximiano, nació trece minutos
después con 2,7 kilos de peso. Son los primeros hijos de Lopez, mientras que
Marc ya tiene 3 hijos de relaciones anteriores.
Además "El flaco"
tiene planes para salir de gira otra vez con Jennifer y planea lanzar un nuevo
disco en español para finales del 2008.

Jennifer did at the 2005 Grammys. However, due to the fact that Jennifer's voice
didn't sound so good that night I used the original track from the cd. This is
the reason why the video may not be well synchronized.
